Massive Operational Facility , I visited here not knowing what to expect , but found a well oiled operation , given its size , and pressures that go hand in hand wit such a place , I found the Chief Commissioner a very organized and professional person . The general hub of day to day business was whirling in the background as the officers controlled what could easily turn into a bun fight.
All in all impressive .But turn up prepared with papers etc because it is in the middle of a thousand lorries and containers and nothing else.
Nhava Sheva is an area in Navi Mumbai which is basically serving as the port of Mumbai. A lot of cargo goes through from here. There is supposedly interesting warehouse tours and logistics tours which are available for those who are interested.
It is a Marine Museum established since the year 1912 [celebrated its 100 years in 2012].
This museum is within the premises of T S Rahman Training Ship Campus.
